A duplex scan of single-sided originals produces a blank page for every sheet, and nobody wants to click through forty empty versos to delete them. This tool measures how much ink each page carries, lists the ones that look empty with their percentage, and lets you confirm before anything is removed. Nothing is deleted on a guess.
Two decisions in the detection are worth knowing. It ignores a 3% margin around each page, because a scanner's edge shadow and the speckle along a torn edge would otherwise make every blank page look occupied. And a page marked "not empty" is telling you it found something — often a stray mark, sometimes a faint stamp you would have been sorry to lose. Untick anything you want to keep.

Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- A page I know is blank was not detected.
- It is carrying something the detector can see — a scanner artefact, a faint fold shadow, a page number, or a footer. The ink percentage tells you how much. Delete it by hand in Rearrange pages if you are sure.
- Why is there a 3% margin?
- Because scanner edges are noisy. The dark strip where the lid did not close and the speckle along a cut edge sit at the very border of the page; counting them would make almost every blank page look like it has content, and the tool would find nothing.
- It says every page is blank.
- That is a guard, not a failure. Removing everything would leave an empty PDF, so the tool stops. Usually it means the document is a scan whose pages are very light overall rather than genuinely empty.
- Can I get a deleted page back?
- Not from the result — but your original file is untouched, because nothing is written until you download. Reload and start again if something went out that should have stayed.
