A restaurant menu in the EU is a regulated document: the fourteen listed allergens have to be declared, and a handwritten card that leaves them out is a problem waiting for an inspection. This tool builds the menu with those fourteen already translated, plus dietary markers, so the declaration is part of the layout rather than a footnote somebody forgot. Currency is configurable, and there is a QR for the version customers read on their phones.

Four styles — elegant, modern, trattoria and chalkboard — and three formats: A4 portrait, A4 landscape and a three-panel trifold with fold marks drawn where the creases go. Unlike a business card there is no bleed here, and that is correct: a menu is a whole A4 sheet, printed and used as it is, not a card trimmed out of a larger stack.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Which allergens are covered?
The fourteen named in EU food information law, already translated, so the declaration reads correctly in the language of the menu rather than being your own translation of an English list.
Why is there no bleed setting?
Because a menu is a whole A4 sheet, printed and used as it is. Bleed and crop marks belong to things trimmed out of a larger sheet, such as business cards. What this does provide is fold marks on the trifold, which is the equivalent for a folded document.
Does declaring allergens here make me compliant?
It gives you a menu that states them in the required form. Whether your kitchen's information is accurate, and what else your local rules require, is your responsibility — the tool prints what you enter.
Which style should I choose?
Match the room. Chalkboard suits a casual place and prints well in one colour; elegant and modern suit table service; trattoria sits between them. All four carry the same allergen information — the style changes the typography, not the content.
