Extracting pages is the operation people reach for when only part of a document should be shared: three pages of a forty-page contract, the two pages of a bank statement that matter, the chapter you actually need. This tool renders the pages as thumbnails so you pick by looking rather than by guessing at numbers, and you can work either way round — select what to keep, or select what to delete.
Very long documents show a capped number of thumbnails, and the screen says so rather than pretending the rest are not there. Selection then applies among the pages shown; if you need to reach deep into a thousand-page file, split it first and extract from the part you want.
How it works
- Drop in a PDF and let the thumbnails render.
- Click the pages you want.
- Choose whether the selection is what to keep or what to delete.
- Save the new PDF.

Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Does extracting reduce quality?
- No. The selected pages are copied into a new document as they are — same fonts, same images, same resolution. Only the pages you left out are missing.
- It says it is only showing the first N pages.
- Rendering thousands of thumbnails would take longer than the job is worth, so the grid is capped and says so. Split the document first, then extract from the part that contains what you want.
- Keep or delete — which should I use?
- Whichever is the shorter list. Taking three pages out of forty is a keep; removing an appendix of four from a report of forty is a delete. The result is the same document either way.
- Do the extracted pages keep their annotations?
- Yes, annotations travel with their page. Bookmarks are a different matter: an outline entry pointing at a page that is no longer in the file has nothing to point to.
