Paste HTML, or load an .html file, and get a typeset A4 PDF. The converter reads the document's structure — headings, paragraphs, lists, tables, links, inline emphasis and images embedded as data URIs — and lays it out the way a document is laid out, with real page breaks and a proper text flow.
It converts content, not appearance. External stylesheets are not fetched, and CSS positioning, floats, flexbox, grid and multi-column layouts are not honoured; a page designed as a web page will arrive as an orderly document rather than a screenshot of itself. There is also no "convert from URL" field, and that is a browser rule rather than a missing feature: a page running in your tab is not allowed to fetch arbitrary other sites, which is the same restriction that stops any site reading your webmail. Save the page locally and load the file instead.
How it works
- Paste your HTML into the editor, or load an .html file.
- Check the preview — it is the real PDF, rendered page by page.
- Adjust the markup if a table or a heading is not landing as you want.
- Download the PDF.
What people use it for
- Turning an emailed HTML invoice or receipt into a PDF for the accounts folder.
- Converting the HTML output of a report script into a document you can circulate.
- Producing a clean, printable version of documentation written in HTML.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Why can I not just paste a URL?
- Because the conversion runs inside your browser tab, and a browser does not let a page fetch other sites' content — the same rule that keeps any website from reading your logged-in pages elsewhere. A server-side converter could do it, but only by uploading and fetching on your behalf, which is exactly what this site does not do. Save the page (Ctrl+S) and load the .html file.
- My CSS did not apply. Is that a bug?
- No, it is the boundary of the tool. Inline emphasis, tables and lists are honoured because they are structure; visual layout rules are not. If the styling is the point, print to PDF from your browser instead.
- Do images come through?
- Images embedded in the markup as data URIs do. Images referenced by a URL do not, for the same reason a URL cannot be fetched at all. Inline them, or add them afterwards with the Stamp image tool.
- Are links clickable in the PDF?
- Yes. Anchors in the source become real link annotations in the PDF, so a reader can click them.
