A receipt is a small legal document, and the details that make it one are easy to leave out: the amount written in words as well as figures, a sequential number, what the payment was for, and where stamp duty applies, a note that it has been paid. This tool builds payment receipts and donation quittances with those parts in place, and writes the amount in words in the language of the document rather than only in English.
You can issue one, or load a CSV and produce a numbered series in a single run — which is the difference between a club treasurer's evening and five minutes. What it does not do is keep your books: it renders the receipt, so the numbering has to stay consistent with whatever register you keep.

Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Why is the amount written in words as well?
- Because figures can be altered with a pen and words cannot, which is why the convention exists on cheques and receipts everywhere. The words are generated in the document's own language, not translated from English.
- What is the stamp duty option?
- In some countries a receipt above a threshold needs a duty stamp, and the receipt should say so. The toggle adds that statement. Whether it applies to your document, and at what threshold, is a question for your own tax rules.
- Can I number them automatically?
- Yes — a CSV run numbers the series in order. Keep the starting number consistent with the register you already have, because the tool renders documents and does not know what you issued last month.
- Is this a fiscal invoice?
- No. A receipt records that a payment was made; an invoice is a tax document with its own required content and numbering rules. If you need to invoice, use the Invoice tool and check your local requirements.
