Aspeto digitalizado
Dê a um PDF o aspeto de uma página passada por um digitalizador — ligeira inclinação, grão do papel, contornos suavizados. Um efeito visual, aplicado no seu dispositivo.
Some processes still expect a document to look like it came off a scanner: a slight rotation, uneven paper tone, a bit of noise. This tool renders every page and applies that treatment at a strength you choose, in colour or grayscale, at a resolution you set.
It changes how the document looks and nothing else, and the tool says so plainly: it does not make the file a real scan. Every page becomes an image, so the text stops being selectable and the file usually gets bigger. It is worth being clear about why you want this — if the goal is to pass a document off as something it is not, that is somebody else's problem to have; if the goal is a uniform look for an archive or a printed set, this is a reasonable way to get it.
How it works
- Drop in a PDF.
- Choose the strength: subtle, medium or strong.
- Pick colour or grayscale and set the resolution.
- Apply and download.
What people use it for
- Giving a set of documents a uniform look when some were scanned and some were generated.
- Producing a deliberately low-fidelity copy for a mock-up or a design proof.
- Making a digital-born document match the appearance of the paper archive it joins.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Does this turn my file into a real scan?
- No. It changes the appearance only. The document has the same origin and the same metadata it had; what has changed is that its pages are now images that look scanned.
- Why can I no longer select the text?
- Because every page has been rendered to an image. That is inherent to the effect — the marks that make a page look scanned cannot be applied to live text objects. Keep the original if you need the text.
- The file got much bigger.
- Expected. Pages of text are compact; pages of photographic-looking image data are not. Lower the resolution if the file needs to be smaller, or run Compress afterwards.
- Which resolution should I use?
- Around 150 dpi looks right on screen and keeps the file reasonable. Go to 300 only if it will be printed — the effect is meant to look slightly rough, so extra resolution buys less than you would think.
