Merge PDF
Combine several PDFs into one — reorder the files and download a single merged PDF.

Merging PDFs sounds trivial until the details bite: page sizes that differ between files, a scan rotated 90°, bookmarks that vanish, or a 200 MB result from four 5 MB inputs. This tool concatenates the documents while keeping each page's original geometry, rotation and embedded fonts intact, so a merged A4 report with an A3 foldout stays exactly that.
Order is set by dragging, not by filename. That matters because alphabetical sorting puts "chapter-10" before "chapter-2", which is the single most common way a merge goes wrong.
How it works
- Drop in two or more PDFs, or pick them from your file manager.
- Drag the cards to set the order the documents should follow.
- Remove any file you added by mistake without starting over.
- Download the merged PDF — one file, pages in your order.
What people use it for
- Assembling an invoice, its delivery note and the payment receipt into one attachment before emailing an accountant.
- Joining chapters exported separately from Word or LaTeX back into a single deliverable.
- Combining a signed contract page scanned separately with the original unsigned document.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
- There is no fixed count. The practical limit is your device's memory, since every page is held in RAM while the file is built. A few hundred megabytes of input is comfortable on a normal laptop; on an older phone, merge in batches.
- Are bookmarks and links kept?
- Standard merging keeps each page's content, annotations and internal links. If you specifically want each source file to become a top-level bookmark in the result, use the Merge with bookmarks tool instead.
- Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
- Not directly — an encrypted file has to be unlocked first. Run it through the Unlock PDF tool (you need the password), then merge the result.
