Pages arrive sideways more often than they should — a scanner fed a landscape sheet in portrait, a phone photo saved with the wrong orientation flag, a fax gateway that rotates everything. Rotating writes a new orientation into the page itself, so the fix is permanent rather than a temporary view setting in your reader.
You can rotate the whole document or only the pages that are wrong, which matters for scans where a single foldout is landscape and the rest is not.
How it works
- Open the PDF.
- Choose 90° clockwise, 90° counter-clockwise or 180°.
- Apply it to all pages or to a specific range.
- Check the thumbnails and download.
What people use it for
- Fixing a scan where every second page came out upside down from a duplex feeder.
- Turning a landscape spreadsheet export so it reads correctly on screen.
- Correcting phone-photographed documents before sending them on.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Why does my reader show it correctly but it prints sideways?
- Because the reader was applying a temporary view rotation that is not saved in the file. Rotating here writes the orientation into the document, so printing matches what you see.
- Can I rotate just one page?
- Yes — apply the rotation to a single page or a custom range instead of the whole document.
- Does rotating reduce quality?
- No. Only a page attribute changes; the content is not re-rendered or re-encoded.
