One document, one grid of thumbnails, three operations: reorder, rotate, delete. It is the narrow version of the Organize workbench, and the narrowness is the point — when you only need to fix the pages of a single file, a screen that is not also asking about merging and splitting is faster to work in.

The most common job here is repairing a scan. A document fed through a sheet-feeder comes back with some pages upside down, a couple in the wrong order and a blank verso every second sheet; ten seconds in a thumbnail grid fixes what would be a fiddly job in a PDF reader. Pages are moved and rotated as objects, so nothing is re-encoded and no quality is lost.

How it works

  1. Drop in a PDF.
  2. Drag the thumbnails into the right order.
  3. Rotate any page that came in sideways, and delete the ones you do not want.
  4. Save the reorganised PDF.

What people use it for

  • Straightening a scan where the feeder took some sheets the wrong way round.
  • Removing the cover sheet and the blank last page before sending a document on.
  • Putting an appendix at the end where it belongs instead of in the middle.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. It is written into the saved PDF, so the page opens the right way up in every reader, on every device. That is different from turning a page in a viewer, which only changes what you are looking at.
Why use this instead of the Organize tool?
Because it does less. Organize handles several documents, moving pages between them and splitting the result. If you have one file and just need its pages in the right order, this is the shorter path.
Can I extract some pages rather than delete the others?
You can do it here by deleting everything else, but Extract pages is built for exactly that and lets you select what to keep rather than what to lose.
Are bookmarks and links kept?
Page content, annotations and links travel with their pages. Bookmarks that point at a page you deleted have nothing left to point to; if the table of contents matters, check it afterwards with the Edit bookmarks tool.
