A place card stands on the table folded in half, and that folding is where hand-made ones go wrong: print a name twice and one of the two ends up upside down. This tool rotates the top half by 180° automatically, so a single-sided print folds into a card that reads correctly from both sides of the table. Names, table numbers or allergen notes, laid out on A4 with fold and cut guides.
It can also carry a QR — one for everybody, or a different one per guest — which is not something the tool's own card mentions. That is what turns a place card into something useful after people sit down: a menu, a seating plan, a link for the photos.
How it works
- Enter the names, or load them from a list.
- Add table numbers or allergen notes if the event needs them.
- Choose whether to include a QR, the same for everyone or one per guest.
- Download the A4 sheets, cut along the guides and fold.
What people use it for
- Setting the tables at a wedding or a formal dinner.
- Marking allergens next to each guest's name so the kitchen and the guest agree.
- Putting a QR on each card that links to the menu or the seating plan.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Will the name be the right way up on both sides?
- Yes. The top half is rotated 180° for you, so once the card is folded the name reads correctly from both sides of the table. That rotation is the step that makes hand-made place cards fail.
- Can each card have its own QR?
- Yes — one QR for everybody, or a different value per guest. A per-guest code is how you point somebody at their own menu choice or dietary note.
- How do I get the names in without typing them all?
- Paste or load your guest list. For a hundred guests that is the difference between five minutes and an evening, and it also removes the typo risk that comes with retyping names.
- What paper should I use?
- Something heavy enough to stand up — around 200 gsm or more. Ordinary paper folds fine but slumps on the table, which is the one thing a place card must not do.
