A certificate has to look like one. That is not vanity: a diploma printed as plain text on A4 reads as a draft, and the border, the seal and the typography are what tell a reader it is the real document. This tool draws seven styles — classic, modern, elegant, diploma, minimal, festive and formal — portrait or landscape, with an optional watermark, a seal, signature lines, and a QR that can point at a verification page.

It also runs from a CSV, which is the difference between issuing one certificate and issuing four hundred after a course. The verification QR is worth thinking about before you print: it is only as useful as the page it points to, so decide what that page will show and whether it will still exist in three years.

How it works

  1. Enter the recipient, the award and the date — or load a CSV for a whole cohort.
  2. Choose one of the seven styles and the orientation.
  3. Add the seal, the signature lines and a verification QR if you use one.
  4. Download the PDF and print.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Can I make many certificates at once?
Yes — load a CSV with one row per recipient and the whole batch is generated in a single pass, each one carrying that row's name, award and date.
What should the verification QR point to?
A page you control that confirms the certificate is genuine. The QR is only as good as that page, so decide what it will show and whether it will still be online in a few years — a dead link on a certificate is worse than no QR at all.
Can I use a real signature?
The signature lines are for signing by hand or for placing a scanned signature image. Bear in mind that a picture of a signature carries little legal weight; if the certificate needs to be tamper-evident, sign the PDF with the Digital signature tool.
Which style should I pick?
Match the occasion rather than your taste: diploma and formal for academic and official awards, classic and elegant for professional ones, festive for a children's or a club event. Preview two with the real name in place before printing the batch.
