An invoice is a document with rules: it needs an identifying number, a date, both parties' details, a clear breakdown of what is being charged, and the tax treatment applied. What those rules require differs by country, which is why a generic text editor is a poor tool for the job.

This generator handles the arithmetic — line totals, discounts, tax per line, the grand total — and lays the result out in a print-ready A4 PDF. Currency defaults to the one normally used with the document language, and the whole thing is built in the browser, so client names and amounts stay on your machine.

  2. Add line items with quantity, unit price and tax rate.
  3. Set the invoice number, dates, currency and payment terms.
  4. Pick a template and download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Is this a legally valid invoice?
The layout follows normal commercial practice, but the mandatory particulars and the tax treatment depend on your country and your situation. Check the requirements that apply to you — this is a document generator, not tax advice.
Is my work saved if I close the tab?
Yes. The invoice is kept in your browser's local storage on this device, so reopening the tool restores what you were working on. It is never sent anywhere.
Can I add my logo?
Yes, upload an image and it is embedded in the PDF at print resolution.
