Chat apps do not preview PDFs. Send one and the recipient gets a file to tap, download and open in something else — which is why people screenshot documents instead. This tool does the screenshotting properly: every page is rendered and stacked into one tall image, so a four-page menu or a two-page invoice arrives as something the other person simply scrolls.

Browsers have hard limits on how large a canvas can be — roughly 32,767 pixels on a side everywhere, and a stricter total-area cap on iOS — and a fifty-page document blows straight through them. Rather than failing, the tool reduces the output width to fit, and if even that is not enough it splits the result into several images delivered as a ZIP. Both cases say so on screen rather than silently producing something different from what you asked for.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Why was my output width reduced?
Because the stacked image was taller than the browser can hold. The width comes down until the total fits, which keeps every page in one image at the cost of some sharpness. It is announced on screen so the number you set and the number you got are never silently different.
I got a ZIP with several images instead of one.
The document was too tall for a single image even after the width reduction, so it was split. The pieces are in reading order; send them in sequence, or convert fewer pages at a time.
The text looks soft. How do I sharpen it?
Raise the output width and the JPG quality. Both increase the file size, so there is a trade against what a chat app will accept — many recompress large images anyway, which is its own reason not to push the width too far.
Can I turn the long image back into a PDF?
Yes, with Images to PDF — but you will get one very tall page rather than the original pages back. If you need the document again, keep the PDF; the long image is for sending, not for archiving.
