A PDF form is meant to be filled on screen, and yet the usual experience is a reader that will not save the values, or a browser that shows the boxes but writes nothing into the file. This tool reads the form's fields — text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns — lists them, lets you fill them in, and writes the values properly into the document.

The part worth knowing about is saving and loading the values separately from the document. Fill a form once, save the values, and you can load them into the same form next month instead of retyping everything. If you load values into a form that does not have those fields, it says so rather than silently doing nothing.

How it works

  1. Drop in a fillable PDF — the fields are detected automatically.
  2. Fill in the values, tick the checkboxes and choose from the dropdowns.
  3. Optionally save the values to reuse them on the same form later.
  4. Choose whether to flatten, then save the filled PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
It says there are no interactive form fields.
The document is a printed form rather than a fillable one — the boxes are drawn on the page, not declared as fields. Use Add text to type onto it, positioning each line where it belongs.
Should I flatten when I save?
Flatten if the form is finished and going to somebody else: the values become permanent and render identically everywhere. Leave it unflattened if you or the recipient may still need to change something.
What exactly do the saved values contain?
The field names and what you typed into them — not the document. That is what makes them reusable across the same form, and it also means the file is worth treating carefully if you filled in anything personal.
I loaded values and nothing happened.
None of the field names in the file match the form you have open. Values are matched by field name, so a different version of a form, or a different form entirely, has nothing to fill.
