Event-badges

Deelnemer-badges met foto, kleur per categorie, check-in-QR en aangepaste achterkant — CSV-import.

A conference badge has to do three things at once: let somebody read a name across a table, let an organiser tell a speaker from an attendee at a glance, and let the desk scan people in without a queue. This tool builds all three from a CSV — name and organisation at a readable size, a colour that encodes the role, a photo where you have one, and a check-in QR that carries each attendee's own value.

You can put your own content on the back, which is where the schedule, the wifi password and the emergency number belong — a badge is the one thing every attendee is guaranteed to be carrying. It generates the badges; the lanyards, the holders and the alphabetised collection desk are still yours to organise.

How it works

  1. Prepare a CSV with one row per attendee, including their role.
  2. Load it, choose the colours for each role, and add photos if you have them.
  3. Design the back — schedule, wifi, contacts.
  4. Download the PDF and print.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
How do the role colours work?
Each role in your CSV gets a colour, and the badge carries it as a visible band or accent. That is what lets a room full of people be read at a distance — speakers, staff and attendees are told apart before anyone reads a name.
Can each badge have its own QR?
Yes. The QR takes a value from the attendee's own row, so scanning at the door identifies the person rather than confirming that they hold a badge.
What should go on the back?
Whatever people ask at the desk all day: the schedule, the wifi password, the floor plan, an emergency number. The badge is the one document every attendee keeps on them.
Someone registered late. Do I reprint everything?
No — make a CSV with just the new rows and run it again. The badges are generated from whatever list you supply, so a batch of one is as valid as a batch of three hundred.
