A document assembled from several sources is usually a document of several paper sizes: an A4 report with a Letter-sized appendix and an A5 form scanned in the middle. It reads fine on screen and prints badly, because the printer scales each sheet differently. This tool forces every page to one size — A4 or Letter — with the orientation either matched per page or fixed for all of them, and an optional margin so nothing sits right against the trim.

Pages are fitted into the new size, not stretched, so nothing is distorted; a page of a different shape gains empty space rather than losing content. What it cannot do is invent resolution — enlarging a small page makes its content bigger and softer, exactly as a photocopier would.

How it works

  1. Drop in a PDF.
  2. Choose A4 or Letter as the target size.
  3. Set the orientation: matched to each page, or portrait or landscape throughout.
  4. Pick a margin if you want breathing room, then save.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
Will my pages be distorted?
No. Each page is fitted inside the target size keeping its proportions, so a page of a different shape gets empty space around it rather than being stretched.
A small page looks blurry now.
Because enlarging cannot add detail. An A5 page scaled up to A4 has the same information spread over twice the area. Scanned pages show this most; text that was drawn as vectors scales up cleanly.
Which should I choose, A4 or Letter?
Whichever your printer holds. A4 is the standard almost everywhere; Letter is North America. They differ enough that printing one on the other either crops or leaves an uneven margin, which is the problem this tool exists to remove.
What does the margin do?
It shrinks the content slightly so it does not sit right at the edge of the sheet. Useful for anything being bound or punched, and for printers that cannot print to the very edge.
