Scannen naar PDF
Zet foto’s van documenten om in een strakke, rechtgetrokken PDF met meerdere pagina’s — perspectiefuitsnede, automatische randdetectie en een zwart-witdocumentmodus. Draait volledig in je browser.
A photo of a document is not a scan. It is taken at an angle, so the page is a trapezium rather than a rectangle; the paper is grey rather than white; and the file is three megabytes of camera noise. This tool fixes all three. You mark the four corners of the page — it tries to find them for you first — and the image is warped back to a true rectangle, then rebuilt in colour, grayscale or a hard black-and-white document mode that turns paper into white and ink into black.
Pages accumulate, so a ten-page contract photographed one sheet at a time becomes one PDF in the order you shot it. You can use the device camera directly or upload photos you already took; on a phone the camera path is usually faster, on a laptop the upload path usually wins.
How it works
- Capture pages with the camera, or drop in photos you already have.
- For each page, drag the four corners onto the document's edges — auto-detect gives you a starting point.
- Pick colour, grayscale or black & white.
- Download the multi-page PDF.
What people use it for
- Turning a signed contract photographed on a desk into a document you can email.
- Digitising receipts for an expense claim without a scanner.
- Getting a handwritten form into a PDF that a portal will accept.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- Auto-detect put the corners in the wrong place.
- It is best-effort and says so — edge detection struggles on a white page against a light desk, or when a hand or a shadow crosses the border. Drag the corners yourself; the correction is applied from wherever you put them, so a hand-placed quadrilateral works exactly as well as a detected one.
- Which colour mode should I choose?
- Black & white for plain text you want small and crisp — it is the mode that makes a photo look like a scan. Grayscale when there are pencil marks or a stamp with texture. Colour when the colour carries meaning, such as a highlighted clause or a coloured logo on a certificate.
- Can I search the text afterwards?
- Not straight away — the result is an image of the page. Run it through the OCR tool to add a text layer, and the PDF becomes searchable and selectable while still looking the same.
- The camera will not start.
- The browser needs permission and a secure connection. Allow camera access when prompted, or in the site settings if you dismissed it once. On a device with no camera, or in a browser that blocks it, upload the photos instead — the rest of the tool works identically.
