Anmerkungen exportieren
Holen Sie Markierungen, Kommentare und Notizen aus einem PDF — samt markiertem Text — als Markdown, CSV oder JSON.
Reviewing a document produces two things: the marked-up PDF, and the actual feedback buried inside it. Getting the second one out normally means scrolling the whole file and retyping. This tool reads the annotation objects directly — highlights, sticky notes, comments and ink — and gives you them as a list, each with its page number and, for a highlight, the text that was actually highlighted rather than just a coloured rectangle.
The export comes in three shapes for three different destinations: Markdown to paste into notes or a ticket, CSV to sort and assign in a spreadsheet, and JSON if something downstream is going to read it.
How it works
- Drop in a PDF that has comments on it.
- Read the annotations found, page by page.
- Pick Markdown, CSV or JSON.
- Copy the result, or download the file.
What people use it for
- Turning a reviewer's marked-up draft into a checklist of changes to make.
- Collecting the highlights from a paper into your reading notes.
- Handing a client's PDF comments to a team as a spreadsheet with page numbers.
Frequently asked questions
- Is my file uploaded to a server?
- No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
- It says the PDF has no annotations, but I can see them.
- They have been flattened — painted into the page as ordinary graphics, which is what happens when a PDF is printed to PDF, exported flat, or marked up by a tool that draws instead of annotating. Our own Annotate tool paints its highlights in that way, so its marks cannot be read back either. Once flattened, a highlight is a coloured rectangle in the artwork and there is no comment left to extract.
- Do I get the text that was highlighted, or just the position?
- The text. For each highlight the underlying words are read out of the page and included, which is what makes the export usable as notes rather than as coordinates.
- Which format should I choose?
- Markdown to read and paste. CSV when several people need to work through the comments and tick them off. JSON when a script is going to consume it.
- Are drawings and freehand marks included?
- Ink annotations are listed with their page, so you know a mark is there and where it is. Their shape is not turned into text, because a freehand squiggle has no text to give.
