Business cards are the smallest job that a print shop can still reject, and almost always for the same reason: no bleed. A card trimmed to 85 × 55 mm is cut through a stack, and the blade wanders by a fraction of a millimetre — so a background that stops exactly at the trim line produces a white hairline on some cards. This tool draws the artwork 3 mm larger on every side and adds crop marks showing where the cut belongs, which is what a printer expects to receive.

It also makes the version you print yourself: an A4 sheet with ten cards laid out two by five and cut guides in the margins. The back sheet mirrors the columns, so printing double-sided lines each back up with its own front instead of the one diagonally opposite — the mistake that ruins a whole sheet. Six styles, a vCard QR that a phone camera turns into a contact, and everything drawn as vectors so it prints at any size.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
What are bleed and crop marks for?
Bleed is 3 mm of extra artwork past the trim line, so a cut that lands slightly off still falls inside your background instead of leaving a white edge. Crop marks are the short lines showing the printer where the trim is. Turn both on when a print shop is cutting; leave them off if you are cutting a sheet at home.
Why does the A4 sheet not need bleed?
Because you are cutting inside a printed sheet with guides, not trimming a stack on a guillotine. The 10-up layout is designed for that: two columns by five rows with cut guides in the margins.
Will the backs line up if I print double-sided?
Yes — the back sheet mirrors the column order, so each back lands behind its own front when the paper is flipped on the long edge. That mirroring is the step people get wrong by hand, and it ruins the whole sheet.
Is the PDF vector or an image?
Vector. Text and shapes are drawn as curves and the fonts are embedded, so it stays sharp at any size and a print shop can output it at full resolution. Only a logo or photo you supply is a raster image.
