Some marks belong on a document as pictures rather than text: a scanned signature, a company seal, a certification logo, a QR badge someone gave you as a PNG. This tool places a PNG or JPG onto the pages of a PDF, in a corner or wherever you position it, scaled to the size you want — on every page, the first page only, or the last.

Use a PNG with transparency if the stamp should sit over existing content: a JPEG has no transparency, so its white background will arrive as an opaque white box and cover whatever is beneath. If what you actually want is a designed stamp or a letterhead that already exists as a PDF, Overlay keeps it vector-sharp instead of turning it into pixels.

How it works

  3. Choose all pages, first page only, or last page only.
  4. Apply and download.

Frequently asked questions

Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. The file is opened by JavaScript and WebAssembly running inside your own browser tab. It is never uploaded, there is no server-side processing and nothing is stored — closing the tab discards everything.
My stamp has a white box around it.
It is a JPEG. That format cannot store transparency, so what looks like a white background is a white background and it is painted onto the page. Save the stamp as a PNG with a transparent background and place it again.
The stamp looks blurry in print.
It is being enlarged past its own resolution. A stamp printed 5 cm wide wants roughly 600 pixels across for crisp output. If you only have a small image, either use it smaller or, for a designed mark, use Overlay with a PDF version, which scales without loss.
Is a stamped signature legally binding?
In most contexts a picture of a signature carries little weight — it can be copied off one document onto another by anyone. For a signature that can be verified and detects tampering, use Digital signature, which is a cryptographic operation rather than an image.
Can I stamp a different image on each page?
Not in one pass. Run the tool once per image with the scope set to the page you want, or use Overlay with a multi-page PDF, which pairs its pages with the base document's.
